Seaspan’s Directors have extensive sea service followed by years in senior positions in shipping and ship management organisations.

 

Allan Stewart

Allan Stewart is a marine engineer who after service at sea to chief engineer spent thirty years in ship management and ship owning.

Allan was technical director of Denholm Maclay before becoming commercial director of Denholm Ship Management. He founded Seascot Shiptrading in 1988 which was subsumed into ASP (Associated Steamships Pty) in Australia.

He is a member of the Institute of Marine Engineers, Science and Technology.

 

Alistair Brydon

Alistair Brydon is a former ship master who has also spent thirty years in ship management and ship owning. Formerly operations manager of Triport Ferries and Denmac Offshore, Alistair was founder of the Northern Marine Management Group of ship management companies and subsequently became a shareholder and commerical director of Seascot Shiptrading. For the last ten years he has provided due diligence services and expert testimony in court proceedings and arbitrations.

He is a supporting member of the London Marine Arbitrators Association.

Russian Shipping Connections

Whilst Seaspan Shipping has contracted throughout the world, much of their work has been in countries of the Former Soviet Union (FSU) where an intimate knowledge of local markets is essential not to mention the language.

Seaspan are fortunate to have working with them experienced and qualified Russian speaking personnel who form the linchpin of their FSU operations.

 

Vladimir Demidov

A shipping economist educated in Russian and British universities, Vladimir was formerly a senior executive with Sakhalin Shipping Company (SASCO) in the Russian Far East before spending ten years in London and Glasgow in ship management, ship broking and sale and purchase.


Alexander Gezha

A shipping professional and qualified chief engineer who obtained his management training and experience in Russia, Ukraine and United Kingdom as an engineer superintendent. Owner of an Odessa based ship management and crewing business, Alexander has extensive experience in the survey and inspection of  domestic and internationally trading vessels of all types including wet, dry and offshore.


International Shipping Connections

Following years in the industry, Seaspan Shipping have established contacts with non exclusive consultants and surveyors in USA, South America, Far East, Europe and the United Kingdom and can generally provide inspection services and consultancy at short notice.
